Security has been reinforced around Jantar Mantar and the Election Commission of India headquarters in New Delhi. The police heightened their presence after protests by opposition parties and detained some demonstrators who sought accountability. Three women journalists reported incidents of sexual harassment during protests, prompting their complaints to be transferred to the Crime Branch. Demonstrations relating to electoral rolls also resulted in tensions with the police.
