Assam government issues guidelines for the chief ministers convoy movement

The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, apologized after an ambulance was halted for his convoy. Following the incident, fresh guidelines were issued to regulate VIP convoy movements in the state. These new rules emphasize unimpeded access for emergency vehicles like ambulances and fire tenders. Four police officials were suspended due to their failure to enforce these guidelines during the convoy's movement.
