Indias Varun Sanyal suffered a weight-cut setback at the Asian Games after being declared medically unfit for his mens traditional 77kg MMA quarter-final. Sanyal developed cramps and bodyache during a sauna session. Later, Suchika Tariyal secured at least a bronze by reaching the womens traditional 60kg semifinals.
