Apr-July fiscal gap touches 26.8% of full-year target

The Centre's fiscal deficit for April-July FY27 stood at 26.8 percent of the budget estimate. This figure showed a slight decrease compared to the previous year's deficit. Total receipts grew faster than total expenditure, indicating fiscal stability. Capital expenditure surged by nearly 30 percent during this period.
