After 200+ applications and 15+ interviews, former corporate employee takes $11/hour dishwashing job

A 29-year-old former corporate employee laid off in April says he has submitted more than 200 applications and attended over 15 interviews without finding another job. Although he has enough savings to cover about five years, he has accepted an $11-an-hour part-time dishwashing role to restore structure and feel productive. Other users responded with stories of layoffs, career changes and unemployment.
