Manipur celebrated the 248th edition of traditional Heikru Hidongba festival

Hundreds of devotees gathered in Manipurs Sagolband on Tuesday to celebrate the 248th edition of Heikru Hidongba, the traditional sacred boat-race festival of the Meitei community. Held annually on the 11th day of the Meitei month of Langban, the event blends religious rituals with traditional boat racing.
