Protection in predicate FIR doesn't extend to PMLA case: Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court ruled that predicate offence protection does not extend to money laundering cases. Anticipatory bail was denied to a businessman facing Enforcement Directorate prosecution. The court emphasized economic offences require a distinct and serious approach for bail. Proceeds of crime amounting to Rs 26.18 crore were traced to the petitioner. The petitioner's non-cooperation with the investigation led to the dismissal of his plea.
