Maharashtra govt ends 30 year age bar for Tribal students in hostels

The Maharashtra government has removed the age limit for tribal students' hostel admissions. This decision followed a hunger strike and a letter from Rahul Gandhi. Tribal students had been protesting the imposed age restriction for twelve days. While the age limit is gone, other demands remain unmet by the government.
