Disha Patani was the makers first pick to play the female lead in Awarapan 2, producer Vishesh Bhatt has revealed.The film marks the first time Emraan Hashmi and Patani are seen together and their on-screen chemistry has become a topic of discussion among the audience. The films producer Bhatt, while explaining the reason for choosing Patani as the lead actress, said that her journey so far and her personality traits were perfect for the role. He said that it is interesting to see Hahmi and the 35-year-old actress together on screen, as the two actors have not been seen together before. Vishesh Bhatt said, Disha has a good body of work. Ive seen her in Mohit Suris Malang. I met her in 2012 or 2013, when she was just starting. He said that in addition to her beauty, she has her own unique personality.
