Daring Experiment: Rishab Shetty Praises Yashs Toxic as Film Crosses Rs.200 Crore

Filmmaker and actor Rishab Shetty has praised Yash for his performance in the recently released film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, calling it a daring cinematic experiment. Shetty said Yash completely immersed himself in a character and a world that demanded a larger-than-life portrayal. Rishab Shetty Applauds Yashs Performance Taking to X on Sunday, Shetty shared a note appreciating Yashs conviction and dedication to the role. He said that an actors job is to bring a character to life wholeheartedly and praised Yash for convincingly portraying the struggles of a powerful man. Shetty acknowledged that the films plot and central characters may not follow the conventional path taken by most movies, but said that this does not necessarily make the approach wrong. He also highlighted the enormous effort involved in transforming an idea into a finished film and presenting it on the big screen. Calling it a bold experiment, he said he supported Yashs attempt and appreciated his efforts to take Kannada cinema to a global audience. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film was reportedly made on a budget of more than Rs.500 crore. It was released with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and several other languages. According to trade-tracking website Sacnilk, the film has collected around Rs.238.11 crore gross in India.
