Akshay Kumar head towards london for Alien survival thriller
Akshay Kumar is set to embark on an unusual cinematic journey with Samuk, an ambitious alien survival thriller that will begin filming in London on August 23, according to industry sources. Directed by Kanishk Varma and backed by producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film will be shot largely in London, which will account for around 90 per cent of the production. The makers are planning a single extended shooting schedule to complete the bulk of the production rather than breaking it into several phases. Samuk marks another collaboration between Kumar and Shah, who have previously worked together on films including Aankhen, Waqt: The Race Against Time, Namastey London, Singh Is Kinng and Action Replayy. The new project takes the actor into the alien thriller space, a genre that has remained relatively uncommon in Indian mainstream cinema. Samuk is currently targeting a 2027 release. The London schedule will mark the official start of principal photo shoots and is expected to account for the bulk of the production.
