Deadlock over release and extradition of antique dealer Subash Kapoor

He was extradited from Germany to India in 2012 to face trial in an idol theft case booked by the Udayarpalayam police in Ariyalur district; he was convicted in the case and sentenced to 10 years in jail; the Centre says India should honour its extradition treaties with Germany and the U.S.
