Researchers find humpback whale songs change with every stage of a dive

Researchers at Syracuse University have found that humpback whale songs are closely linked to diving behaviour, with different song patterns corresponding to descent, ascent and time spent at the ocean floor. The study suggests whales carefully coordinate singing with depth, buoyancy and oxygen management
