Osaka receives gold bar donation to repair ageing water pipes

The city of Osaka has received gold bars worth 560 million yen (approximately Rs 32.75 crore) from an anonymous donor to help repair its ageing water pipeline system. The 21-kg gold donation was handed over to the Osaka City Waterworks Bureau. Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama said the city would honour the donors request and prioritise improvements to water
