Tata AIG rejects stolen bike insurance claim over delayed FIR: Tata AIG General Insurance ordered to pay over Rs 2.19 lakh by a Visakhapatnam consumer commission to the owner of a stolen Yamaha MT-15 after ruling that the company's rejection of the claim on grounds of delayed FIR registration was arbitrary and amounted to deficiency in service. The court held that a delay caused by police cannot be used against a genuine claimant.
