Take action: SC to Allahabad HC chief justice on allegations against Lakhimpur Kheri case judge

The Supreme Court asked the Allahabad High Court chief justice to swiftly address serious allegations against the presiding officer. Allegations include the judge transferring cases to himself and reportedly acquitting defendants during the trial. Senior advocates presented arguments regarding the judge's conduct and the changes made to the prosecution team. The trial involves significant incidents from the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri violence, which resulted in multiple fatalities.
