Researchers in China found a king cobra nest containing 72 eggs, nearly twice the number usually recorded for the species. Two adult cobras also guarded the nest, although scientists could not identify their sex. The discovery adds rare information about king cobra nesting behaviour in Yunnan, where three nests were documented.
