Psychology says people who can't lie to others arent always just feeling guilty, they may be looking out for themselves

Psychology suggests that people who struggle to lie are often influenced by a combination of empathy, moral identity, cognitive dissonance, self-regulation and early learning experiences. Their honesty does not necessarily mean they never make mistakes or avoid difficult conversations. Instead, it reflects the way their minds respond to the emotional and psychological costs of deception.
