Oat cookies, sambar rice on menu as MCD schools revamp mid-day meals

New Delhi's Municipal Corporation is set to enhance mid-day meals for children in its schools. Starting in November, new vendors will introduce diverse and appealing meal options like oat cookies and fruit. The menu will retain popular dishes, with additional variations to encourage healthier eating habits. Nutritional standards, requiring specific calorie and protein intake, will be maintained by regulated food checks.
