NCPCR begins inquiry into alleged child porn Ads on Instagram

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has initiated an investigation into disturbing child pornography ads on Instagram, prompted by a revealing BBC Eye report. These ads, which linked to Telegram channels, were allegedly cleared by Instagram's moderation system before going live. After issuing a notice to Meta Platforms on July third, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has directed the company to remove such content immediately.
