Mushtaq Khan kidnapping case: When Welcome actor went for an event but ended up held captive for 12 hours, 'tortured' & facing Rs 1 crore ransom demand

Mushtaq Khan, who died at 75 on September 24, 2026, had made headlines in November 2024 after he was allegedly kidnapped on the pretext of attending an award show in Meerut, with the kidnappers reportedly demanding Rs 1 crore ransom and holding him captive for around 12 hours near Bijnor. Khan escaped after hearing the morning Azaan and sought help from locals before later filing an FIR and submitting evidence, including flight records, bank details and CCTV footage.
