Miami set to get a new CMU campus, thanks to $3 billion donation by Citadel founder Ken Griffin the largest-ever gift in US higher education history

CMU is set to transform Wynwood, Miami, with a stunning $2 billion investment dedicated to establishing a new university campus. Anticipated to open in 2028, the CMU Miami will focus on solving social challenges and elevating research in crucial domains, catering to 3,500 students and a faculty of 300. Additionally, another $1 billion will bolster Carnegie Mellon University's current campus in Pittsburgh, with construction slated to begin in 2027.
