Mahadev Betting case: DGGI seeks 40,603 cr in GST from promoters

The DGGI has issued show-cause notices to Mahadev Book promoters for over 40,603 crore. These notices propose GST demands and penalties for alleged non-payment of taxes. The transactions linked to the betting network occurred between April 2020 and March 2024. Investigators mapped nearly 2,000 alleged betting panels, estimating daily deposits at 99 crore.
