Lalbaugcha Raja 'prasad' waste to power Mumbai's civic hospitals as faith meets sustainability:

Mumbai's Lalbaugcha Raja will convert prasad waste into clean electricity this Ganesh festival. Around eighty metric tonnes of food waste will power four municipal hospitals across the city. This initiative aims to reduce waste burden and promote a circular economy. Biomethanation plants at selected hospitals will process the organic waste daily. The generated electricity will illuminate hospital wards and common areas.
