Kashmir's higher reaches get season's first snowfall; rains, hail hit plains

Higher reaches of Kashmir experienced the season's first snowfall on Saturday. Plains received brief rains accompanied by hailstorms in some areas. Parts of Srinagar and adjoining districts saw rainfall, lowering day temperatures. The MeT department predicts possible brief showers on Sunday. Weather is expected to remain generally dry for the coming days.
