In 2024, the EU-funded REWIND project began developing blade reuse and recycling methods. 2 years later, more than 20 square metres of recovered sections supported new applications

The REWIND project is developing new technologies for wind turbine blades. These innovations aim to dismantle, repurpose, and recycle old blades effectively. Recovered materials are being tested for use in electric vehicles and insulation. New recycling methods are also being created for unusable composite parts.
