Half of Volkswagen's job cuts will be in Germany, supervisory board member says

Volkswagen could cut around 25,000 jobs in Germany as part of its planned 50,000 global workforce reduction, Lower Saxony Premier Olaf Lies said. However, he said there is no agreement to close German plants and opportunities remain to retain production.
