Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee spoke with Priyanka Gandhi outside Parliament. He stated that Mamata Banerjee's 1997 expulsion from Congress caused its decline. Gandhi recalled Rajiv Gandhi's respect for Mamata Banerjee then. Banerjee countered that Congress allied with CPI-M, opposing Mamata Banerjee's stance. He noted Congress's diminished presence and power since 2014.
