Gurgaon officials asked to explain why flooding happens every year, Haryana panel says stuck school buses and blocked ambulances put lives at risk; orders citywide drainage audit

Haryana Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu notice of Gurgaon's recurring waterlogging, calling it a matter of basic human rights rather than a civic inconvenience. Acting on Times of India reports, the commission has ordered a full drainage audit, flagged the safety of school children and emergency services, and asked nine government agencies to explain years of unresolved flooding.
