CCPA fined a restaurant in Connaught Place Rs 10,000 for automatically adding an Rs 80 service charge to a customer's food bill and applying GST on that amount, ruling that a later refund cannot undo a consent violation that occurs at the time of billing, and directing the restaurant to fix its billing software and file a compliance report.
