Bharat NCAP 2.0 to be rolled out from October 2027, says Gadkari

India will launch an updated Bharat NCAP safety program in October 2027. This initiative will assess the complete vehicle safety framework to reduce road accidents. A new scheme will also control emissions from BS IV compliant vehicles. This program aims to significantly reduce particulate matter and NOx emissions. Incentives and penalties will be introduced for driving license holders based on behavior.
