Bangladesh seeks more diesel supply from India

Bangladesh has sought increased diesel supplies from India to tackle its ongoing power crisis. Indian envoy Dinesh Trivedi met with the Power Minister to discuss enhancing energy cooperation. They highlighted cross-border electricity and energy connectivity as vital for partnership. The minister acknowledged that the diesel shortages have significantly affected gas-fired power generation, recalling that previous diesel deliveries through a now-resumed pipeline were halted during a transitional government.
