Assam flood situation improves as number of affected dips to 1.78L, CM to tour worst-hit districts

Assam's flood situation shows slight improvement as affected people decrease. Seven districts remain inundated, impacting 1.78 lakh individuals across the state. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is visiting the worst-hit areas to assess relief efforts. The central government has sanctioned over Rs 370 crore for disaster response. Damage assessment for educational institutions and Namghars is also underway.
