Youth paraded with hands tied by rope, notice to Pune top cop

The Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission issued notices to Pune police officials. These notices concern the alleged public humiliation and assault of a 20-year-old suspect. The suspect was reportedly caught for damaging vehicles and then paraded publicly. The commission noted that police imposed physical punishment instead of following due process. The next hearing for this human rights violation case is scheduled for September 9.
