Sovereign Gold Bonds for NRIs: Can they invest, hold existing SGBs and buy them from secondary market?

NRIs cannot make fresh investments in Sovereign Gold Bonds but can continue holding SGBs bought while they were residents. They can invest in physical gold, gold mutual funds, e-gold and Gold ETFs, subject to applicable rules.
