Addicted to online gambling, Bengaluru staffer at Indian Bank steals gold worth Rs 4 crore from customer lockers

An assistant bank manager in Bengaluru has been arrested for stealing approximately 2.7kg of gold ornaments, valued over Rs 4 crore, from customer lockers. He allegedly used the stolen gold, pledged against loans, to fund his online gambling addiction. The theft was discovered when a customer found her ornaments missing after closing her loan.
