Asian Games athletics: Speed Climbers Joga Purty and Deepu Mallesh gear up for Asiad debut

India's speed climbers Joga Purty, 19, and Deepu Mallesh, 28, are set to make their Asian Games debut, with climbing events beginning September 29. Purty took up the sport after visiting a climbing academy in Jamshedpur and later broke her own national record at the Asian Championships to qualify. Mallesh, a national gold medallist, started climbing at 11-12 after being introduced to it by a school coach.
