What are Firebase scams? Why India asked Google to take down fake banking sites

India is cracking down on scams abusing Google's Firebase to host fake banking sites and malware. I4C ordered at least 57 Firebase websites and databases taken down in August after they were used to steal credit card details, OTPs and other data from victims phones.
