Centre reaffirms HRA policy: If one spouse gets government housing, other cannot claim allowance

The Centre has clarified that central government employees cannot claim HRA if one spouse is allotted government accommodation at the same station. It also confirmed there is no proposal to review the existing House Rent Allowance policy for dualemployee couples.
