Can you transfer rent from personal property to your HUF? Know the tax rules

Owning property personally but crediting rent to your HUF? Section 96 of the Income Tax Act 2025 attributes such rental income to the individual owner, not the HUF. Only the income the HUF later earns by investing that rent escapes clubbing. Ownership decides tax liability, not the bank account.
