Justice Yashwant Varma found guilty as probe proves all 3 charges, no explanation for burnt cash

The committee investigating Justice Yashwant Varma has found all three allegations against him proven in its report. The committee stated that a large quantity of burnt and partially burnt Rs 500 notes were found in the storeroom of his official residence, but Justice Varma could not provide a satisfactory explanation for the source or ownership of these notes. According to the report, a fire broke out in the storeroom of his official residence at 30 Tughlaq Crescent, Delhi, on the night of March 14 and 15, 2025. Delhi Police and Fire Service officials who arrived to extinguish the fire found a large number of burnt, partially burnt, wet, and scattered Rs 500 notes. Statements from several officials and photo-video records also confirm this.
