Centre approves Rs 6,839 cr VVP-II for 1,954 border villages till FY29

The Central Government has approved Vibrant Villages Programme-II with a Rs 6,839 crore outlay. This initiative will focus on the comprehensive development of 1,954 select border villages. The programme covers villages across seventeen states and union territories. A High-Powered Committee will facilitate the effective implementation of this new programme. This scheme aims to address unique challenges faced by these border communities.
