For centuries, five has been tied to an idea called wufu, or the Five Blessings. The tradition comes from the Book of Documents and describes five things associated with a complete and fortunate life: longevity, wealth, health and peace of mind, virtue, and a natural death in old age. That makes the number an unusual fit for the latest chapter in Donald Trumps relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
