US airlines oppose China's bid to add more flights

Airlines for America CEO Chris Sununu said US carriers oppose adding more direct China-US flights, arguing Chinese airlines have an advantage because they can fly over Russia on eight routes. He said US airlines face significant extra costs because they must avoid Russian airspace and has urged the Trump administration not to expand Chinese access.
