UK business activity cools as inflation pressure ramps up, PMI shows

British business activity growth has slowed this month amidst pressures of inflation, showed a S&P Global survey on Wednesday. Prices charged by services companies rose the fastest in four months and also reported accelerating cost pressures following a rise in energy prices caused by the escalating conflict in Iran. Economists say soaring government borrowing costs and rising inflation pressure threaten to dim the outlook.
