Gold and silver prices traded mixed on the MCX, with silver extending gains while gold edged lower as investors booked profits after last weeks sharp rally. Focus shifted to upcoming US inflation data for cues on the Federal Reserves rate outlook. MCX silver futures rose Rs 2,134 to Rs 2,33,600 per kg, while gold fell Rs 360 to Rs 1,51,461 per 10 grams.
