Sheikh Hasina's arrival in India was 'unexpected', Indian military had no role, says Indian envoy in Dhaka

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi addressed Sheikh Hasina's unexpected arrival in India during a conference. He clarified that the Indian military played no role in her flight arrangements at that time. Trivedi noted the situation in Bangladesh prompted India's decision to allow her landing. The extradition request for Sheikh Hasina has been made by the interim administration of Bangladesh since December 2024.
