Retired IAS officer Anil Verma appointed chairman of West Bengal Public Service Commission

Retired IAS officer Anil Verma has been appointed chairman of the West Bengal Public Service Commission. The state government issued a notification on Monday confirming this significant appointment. Governor made this appointment under Article 316(1) of the Constitution of India. This appointment will officially take effect from the date Verma assumes charge. The Finance Department notification clearly stated the governor's pleasure in this appointment.
