Perdue Farms invested $300,000 in Chesapeake Conservation in 2023. The project reached 40 farmers and cut Nitrogen, Phosphorus and sediment pollution

A three-year project is helping poultry farmers in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware protect the Chesapeake Bay from farm runoff. Forty farmers took part, and 30 installed conservation measures such as better manure management, stormwater controls and planted buffers. The work is expected to reduce nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment entering the watershed each year.
