PNB officials in Uttar Pradesh allegedly took out genuine currency worth Rs 7.4 crore from a bank vault and replaced it with fake notes, according to a Times of India report. The fraud came to light after a Rs 4.36 lakh shortage in cash sent to RBI triggered an audit, with three bank officials named as suspects.
